The ‘mediated phone-in radio counselling’ has been launched by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and will help the prisoners to carry their academics without compromising the jail security. IGNOU has been offering academic courses to the prisoners from quite sometime but earlier, this student-teacher interactive facility was not available as prisoners do not have access to the phones in the jail, he said. “To circumvent this difficulty, an innovative method has been adopted by IGNOU here. Prisoners will now listen to lessons imparted by teachers on the FM radio channel. They will write their doubts/queries on a paper and give it to the IGNOU’s jail coordinator. The coordinator will immediately call the Gyan Vani studio from the jail office phone and read out the prisoner’s queries. The teacher in the studio will then provide answers on the radio channel” he added. This facility will be quite beneficial for the for the prisoner who wants to study as this provides an opportunity for two communication between the teacher and the student. source https://www.brainbuxa.com/education-news/ignou-launched-radio-program-to-educate-prisoners-in-nagpur-9001 JKBOSE class 12th result for Kashmir zone declaredJammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has declared the result of class 12 exams held in the month of November. Online registrations for the same will commence from January 10, 2019. Every year, the test is conducted to grant admissions into five year integrated law degree and one year LLM degree across 21 National Law Universities in India. 10+2 pas candidates are eligible to apply for the five year course and candidates with LLB degree are eligible to apply for the LLM courses. The last date to apply for the exam is March 31. This year, CLAT will be conducted in pen-paper mode. The decision was taken last year during the 4th meeting of the National Law University (NLU) Consortium at National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore. The decision was taken owing to various technical glitches in the online examination system due to which candidates demanded that exam be conducted again. Last year more than 54000 candidates appeared for the exam and soon after the exam more than 400 candidates complained that they lost 10-15 minutes due to power cuts, login issues, slow computers etc. The Supreme Court had directed the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (exam conducting body) to award compensatory marks to the students who had lost time due to technical glitches in the exam. source https://www.brainbuxa.com/education-news/clat-2019-registration-to-commence-from-this-week-8994 |
